πΌ Welcome to Summer Term 1! πΌ
We hope you all had a lovely break and are ready for an exciting new term of learning.
In English, we will be writing diary sentences inspired by the story The Secrets of Black Rock. We will use the text to develop our vocabulary, sentence structure, and creativity as we explore the story and its characters.
In Maths, we will continue focusing on multiplication and division, building confidence and fluency. We will also begin learning about length and height, statistics, and money, applying our skills to a range of practical and problem-solving activities.
In Science, we will deepen our knowledge of plants, learning about how they grow, what they need to survive, and exploring key scientific vocabulary through discussion and enquiry.
In History, we will be learning about castles, with a special focus on Beeston Castle. We will explore what castles were used for, who lived in them, and what life was like in the past.
