π Welcome to Summer Term 2! π
We hope you all had a wonderful half-term break and are feeling refreshed and ready for another exciting half term of learning in Willow Class.
In English, we will continue developing our writing skills through a range of engaging texts and creative activities. The children will focus on improving sentence structure, punctuation, vocabulary choices and handwriting while building confidence in their independent writing.
In Math's, we will be moving on to learning about fractions, time and position and direction. We will be using practical resources and problem-solving activities to help deepen our understanding.
In Science, we will explore living things and their habitats. The children will investigate different environments, food chains and how animals and plants depend on one another to survive.
Notices and reminders
School trip- We will be visiting Beeston Castle on Tuesday 23rd June.
Reading β Reading records should be brought into school every day. Please continue to read regularly with your child and record this in their reading diary at least once each week.
PE β Willow Class PE lessons will continue on Wednesday and Thursday. Children should come to school wearing their full PE kit on these days.
Spellings β Weekly spellings will continue to be sent home. Please support your child in practicing these ready for their spelling quiz.
Home Learning β Homework will continue to be sent home weekly and should be returned by the following Monday.
