🍃Welcome Back to Spring 1🍃
Happy New Year! This term, Rowan Class will be diving into a classic Sherlock Holmes novel - a gripping narrative inspired by a local legend. Using this text as a springboard, the children will be crafting their own cliff-hanger stories and producing formal reports that draw on themes and ideas from the novel. In Maths, pupils will begin to refine their multiplication and division skills by exploring effective strategies and applying these methods when reasoning and solving problems.
Rowan Class will begin their swimming lessons this term, taking place every Thursday. Later in the term, the children will also be heading off on their residential trip, where they will have the opportunity to develop their confidence and teamwork skills. Throughout the residential, we will focus on building strong communication and listening abilities—important qualities that the children will bring back and apply within the classroom.
