Welcome back Year 1 and Year 2! We hope you had a restful and sunny half term break. It’s hard to believe we’re now in our final half term of the year! We’ve got a busy and exciting few weeks ahead as we continue our learning and prepare for the summer holidays.

Our Pathways to Write text this half term is Grandad’s Secret Giant – a beautiful story that will help us explore kindness, inclusion and the power of helping others through our writing.

In Maths, we’ll be learning about fractions, time, position and direction, building on the skills we’ve developed so far this year.

In RE, we’ll be learning about what happened at the Ascension and Pentecost, exploring the importance of these events.

Our Geography topic is Safari and Conservation, where we’ll learn about the African savannah, the animals that live there, and how we can protect endangered species.

In Design and Technology, we’ll be exploring structures and also having fun with Food Technology, including some hands-on activities in the classroom!
