Christmas Lego Village

On Monday 16th December all the children took part in a Christmas Lego Workshop. Collectively they were given the task of designing, planning and building a Christmas Village complete with lights, and a working railway line and funfair. The children relished the opportunity to showcase their designs and lego building skills. Their finished village was AMAZING!

Class 2 Smoothies

The children in Class 2 had a great time making smoothies as part of their Literacy work on writing instructions. The children were given the task of designing their smoothie, listing the required ingredients and writing clear instructions on how to make it. They were delicious!

 

Class 1 Canopy - November 2013

We are delighted that our canopy has now been installed. This will provide shelter from the elements in our Early Years Foundation Stage and Year 1 outdoor play area enabling the children access to outdoor provision all year round.

A huge thank you to every one who has supported our fund raising events for the provision of the canopy.

Dress up 24th Sept

Earlier this term Class 1 had a castle themed dressing up day. The children used their imagination and came to school dressed as kings, queens, princesses, knights, dragons, cooks, jesters and even ghosts! They then wrote about their chosen character. We had lots of fun!

Leavers 2013

Church Garden Fete and Rose Queen

The annual Christ Church Crowton Garden Fete took place on  Saturday 13th July on our school field. All of our children took part in this community event.  Last year's Rose Queen,  accompanied by her retinue, retired and our new Rose Queen accompanied by her attendants was crowned.The sun was shining and everyone had a wonderful time!

Class 1 Zoo Trip

Class 1 had a wonderful day at Chester Zoo. We learned how to be Zoo Keepers. We really enjoyed seeing all the animals.

Lego Village

On Tuesday 19th June the children all took part in a Lego workshop where they planned, designed and built a Lego village.

 

Planetarium Visit

On 13th June we had a visit from Auriga Star Dome, a mobile planetarium. All the children entered the star dome to investigate the Solar System and the ever changing nature of our universe

Story Workshop Friday 19th April

Simon James, an author visited our class and we created a story plan of our own and wrote a story.

Easter Assembly

We celebrated the end of the Spring Term with an Easter Assembly. We also said good luck to Mrs Sarginson as she leaves to have a baby Sarginson.

Pushpanjali Dance Workshop

We had a dance workshop with the Pushpanjali Indian Dance Company. We learned about how the dance tells a story using graceful hand gestures and facial expressions. The music was amazing.

World Book Day with Tim Quinn

We had lots of fun celebrating World Book day on 7th March.

 All the children and staff dressed up as their favourite book characters. A competition was held for the best children's costume; we had lots of winners! Watch out for their photographs in the Northwich Guardian.

 We had a special visitor in school to help us celebrate World Book Day; Tim Quinn, former editor of Marvel Comics, Spiderman and Xmen and writer for the Guardian newspaper. The children were inspired by 'The Mighty Quinn's storytelling  and cartoon comic strip workshops. They had fun creating their own super heroes and plannning adventures.

 After school our Book and Tuck shop proved to be a great success. Thank you to everyone who helped and supported it. We raised £65 which will go towards our Class 1 canopy project
