School Dinners
For all children in Class 3 and 4 (KS2) school dinners will cost £2.45p per day.
Children in Classes 1 and 2 (EYFS & KS1) may have free meals under the Government Universal Free School Meal Scheme.
ALL KS2 DINNERS MUST BE PAID FOR IN ADVANCE, on line through School Spider, or by cheque payable to Cheshire West and Chester Council).

Mid-morning Snacks
Children are able to purchase a mid morning snack from the kitchen on a daily basis. Pupils should bring their snack money daily to school in a washable named purse/wallet.
If you would like to purchase snack for the entire half term commencing Thursday 2nd September 2021, the amount will be £11.10p - please send the money to school in a named envelope, in exchange for a "snack pass".

Free School Meal Entitlement
Free school meals are available to pupils in receipt of, or whose parents/guardians are in recipt of, one or more of the following benefits:
- Universal Credit (provided you have an annual net earned income of no more than £7,400, as assessed by earnings from three of your most recent assessment periods)
- Income Support
- Income -based Jobseekers Allowance
- Income -related Employment and Support Allowance
- Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
- the guarantee element of State Pension Credit
- Child Tax Credit (provided you're not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190, as assessed by HMRC)

Eligibility for Free School Meal entitlement also provides eligibilty for Pupil Premium, a Government grant paid to school for the purpose of raising attainment levels and closing the gap for disadvantaged children. Key Stage One children should also claim Free School Meal entitlement even though they recieve Universal Infant free School meals.
IF YOU ARE IN RECEIPT OF ANY OF THE ABOVE BENEFIT PAYMENTS, PLEASE CONTACT THE FSM HELPLINE 0300 123 8123 AND REGISTER YOUR CHILD FOR FREE MEALS - YOUR SCHOOL WILL RECEIVE PUPIL PREMIUM FUNDING TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S EDUCATION.
Free School Meal Entitlement if Your Child is Self Isolating Due to COVID-19
During the COVID-19 pandemic, parents of children who are in receipt of benefit related Free School Meals can request a food parcel from our catering supplier, if the pupil is having to self-isolate at home / a school/bubble is closed. To request the food parcel, you must email the school: admin@crowton.cheshire.sch.uk, including information about the start date, the number of days the parcel is required for and any intolerances or allergies. We will then request the parcel on your behalf (please allow 24 hours for the parcel to be prepared).
