Gnarled branches stretched,

A forest of pine trees smiled,

The tranquil pond,

A slight ripple breaks.

Gnarled branches stretched,

Cool autumn breeze,

Silence,

Through the reeds.

Gnarled branches stretched,

The watery yellow, pink and violet hues,

As the moon slowly rose,

Peaceful.

On Tuesday 2nd June class 2 had a very exciting day at the World Museum in Liverpool. At the museum the children learned about ancient Egypt and took turns to pop their heads through a Tutankhamun cut out. They dressed up as anglo-saxons and explored animals, from mini-beasts to dinosaurs, in their natural envirnoments. The also children enjoyed a special visit to the planetarium during their visit.

Before the children left Liverpool, they had time to have a tea time treat at a nearby hotel . Then, it was back to the station for the train journey home.

Mrs Harris and Mrs Martin were extremely proud of the way in which the children conducted themselves  throughout the whole day; their excellent behaviour was praised and noted by members of museum staff. Well done Class 2!
