School Dinners

For all children in Class 3 and 4 (KS2) school dinners will cost £2.25p per day.

With effect from September 2014 all children in Classes 1 and 2 (KS1) may have free school meals (see below for further information on Universal Free School Meals)

ALL DINNERS MUST BE ORDERED AND PAID FOR IN ADVANCE. Please download the menu sheet below for details of our lunches and to pre-order.

 

Dinner money may be paid by cheque or cash as follows;

  • For those who have lunches on a full time basis - this may be paid half termly, weekly or three weekly when returning the dinner menu sheet.
  • For those who have occasional lunches - payment must be forwarded with the completed menu sheet.

Cheques should be made payable to Cheshire West and Chester Council.

The following mid-morning snacks can be purchased daily from school. Please ensure your child brings snack money in a named purse or envelope.

Free School Meal Entitlement

From 01.04.18 an earnings threshold for cutomers who are in receipt of Universal Credit is being introduced.

Free school meals are available to pupils in receipt of, or whose parents/guardians are in recipt of, one or more of the following benefits:

  • Universal Credit (provided you have an annual net earned income of no more than £7,400, as assessed by earnings from three of your most recent assessment periods)
  • Income Support
  • Income -based Jobseekers Allowance
  • Income -related Employment and Support Allowance
  • Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
  • the guaranteed element of State Pension Credit
  • Child Tax Credit (provided you're not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more than  £16,190, as assessed by HMRC)
  • Working Tax Credit run-on (paid for four weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit)

Eligibility for Free School Meal entitlement also provides eligibilty for Pupil Premium, a Government grant paid to school for the purpose of raising attainment levels and closing the gap for disadvantaged children.Further information on Pupil Premium can be found under our 'School Information' dropdown.

Key Stage One children should also claim Free School Meal entitlement even though they recieve Universal Infant free School meals.

IF  YOU ARE IN RECEIPT OF ANY OF THE ABOVE BENEFIT PAYMENTS,  PLEASE CONTACT THE  FSM HELPLINE 0300 123 8123 AND REGISTER YOUR CHILD FOR FREE MEALS - YOUR SCHOOL WILL RECEIVE PUPIL PREMIUM FUNDING TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S EDUCATION.
