Friends of Crowton School
Friends of Crowton School
Welcome to the Friends of Crowton PTA website page, and a big welcome to our new families! We hope everyone has settled in OK.
About us:
Friends of Crowton is a registered charity and works solely to raise funds for additional resources and activities for the children of our school. Achieved by organising and running various fundraising events throughout the school year.
Friends could not exist without the volunteers who give up their free time to help run it; or the ideas generated by those involved with the School. If you have any fundraising ideas, would like to come along to the PTA meetings, or would simply like to volunteer to help at events please do get in touch by contacting one of the members in person at the school gate, emailing Friendsofcrowtonschool@gmail.com or by leaving your details with the School Office.
We don’t take up too much of your time. Any support either on an ad hoc basis or something more regular is greatly appreciated by all.
Current Committee:
Co-Chairs: Emma Staniforth (mum to Matthew, Year 4 / Angela Booth (mum Noah, Year 4)
Treasurer: Nicola Morrant (mum to April, Year 2)
Secretary: Katie Collins (mum to Elsie, Year 1)
What we do:
We meet once a term to discuss ways of raising funds for our school. During school year 2022 to 2023 we raised an astonishing £10,818!!! Take a look at our FOCS Summer Newsletter 2023 to find out more about how we did it. We have a host of regular fundraising events which our children have come to love such as school discos, break the rules days, Mothers & Fathers Day secret gift stalls, Christmas Fair, May Madness event and much more.
We use the funds we raise to pay for experiences / resources and equipment to support the school as well as exciting and fun experiences for the children too. In 2023 we were able to purchase an outdoor pagoda for the school as well as four beautiful woodland shelters. The children were all able to enjoy an archery day as well as a performing arts day thanks to FOCS funds. We love creating lasting memories for all the children at our school!
How can I help?
